Reigning Queen of Style

As the Duchess of Cambridge, wife to William and a mother of two,Kate Middleton has become a fashion icon and appears to be a seasoned public figure, whose look has quickly evolved as her status soared and her every move fall under closet scrutiny. Kate represents a breath of fresh air something that the world had longed for,and a chance to believe that fairy tale dreams can really come true in the real world. I truly love Kate and I admire her a lot with all honesty. She’s a lovable and likable person, genuine, assured, beautiful, confident and always(and I mean always)impeccably dressed. Middleton has taken on her royal duties with the utmost elegance and grace and always looks stunning at her public appearances. When its time to put on a party frock and shine, the Duchess can get it done in the most spectacular way. She’s had many memorable fashion milestones, like the deep-blue Isso engagement dress that launched the “little blue dress” trend and the gorgeous Alexander McQueen lace wedding dress designed by Sarah Burton which won nods of approval unanimously from the international fashion watchers and press. Kate always gets the sense of occasion just right, dressing in appropriate rich colors, designer or adding a subtle customs details and she incredibly manages to combine classic lines with modern silhouette that gives a nod to the place she is visiting. It shows a real affinity with her role and her wardrobe -which has been completely revamped since entering the public eye. Kate is outshining royals all over the world, slinging out Sloaney separates and country garb in favor of chic designer dresses and the hottest high street picks. While she enjoys upscale stores and wearing pieces by constellation of favorite designers- including Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Benett,LK,Erdem,Jenny Pockham,Mulberry and Stella McCartney- she also gracefully waers ladylike classics, mixing haute couture with high street fashions that are more attainable at outlet malls and lower priced retails like Zara,Topshop,Reis’s,and Whistles.Kate also has no qualms  about wearing same outfit more than once. As for beauty,Kate let’s her natural shine with light makeup that is more carefully applied, healthy hair that is often worn in a half up and half down style that appears richer in color and more coiffed which she experiments with new cuts, such as bangs and a radiant smile. With her beautiful tailored coats,occasion-appropriate fascinators and formal gowns(which are to die for),ensembles which prove that every well-edited closet needs a pair or two of classic pumps in versatile colors like black and nude;Kate Middleton inspire style watchers and shows us how to look put together without coming off as too buttoned up. Statement hats and handcrafted head pieces have taken centerstage. Show-stopping toppers have long been an integral part of British fashion and a mainstay at weddings, horse race, polo matches and formal social events, but for many Kenyans,we’re just entering this heady new category of accessories. But we’re still got a few lessons to learn before we attempt to rock a hat like her majesty or wear a jaunty headpiece like Kate. No matter what she’s up to, her style sells-a phenomenon, dubbed the “Kate Effect”, which become quickly apparent, and sees everything she wear turns to gold.
The Duchess of Cambridge is truly the reigning Queen of Style my lovelies.
       Live and love
